RAIL ENGINEERING AND TRACK MAINTENANCE

Protech Training Academy is a leading delivery provider of the Level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Rail Engineering and Track Maintenance. The framework consists of Level 2 NVQ Rail Engineering and Track Maintenance, Level 2 Underpinning Knowledge (Technical Certificate) and Essential Skills in Application of Number (Maths) and Communication (English) unless proxies can be provided to evidence attainment of Maths and English at Level 1. All learners successfully complete intensive health and safety modules and all safety critical competences in order to confidently and competently work in a live rail environment.

Our dedicated and accessible facilities in Taffs Well, South Wales provide a professional training environment complete with a comprehensive range of equipment including our Industry approved simulator track which supports and enhances learning, ensuring our learners get real life practical experiences on the track.

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS

Learners must be free from controlled substances (drugs) and alcohol, applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment screen prior to enrolment and another prior to the safety critical training phase. Any Sentinel sponsored individual is subject to random screening at any time during their time on any Network Rail managed infrastructure project.
